Joan Dene Cox, age 79 passed away on July 26th, 2022. Joan was born on January 7th, 1943 to parents Ivan and Thelma (Ichord) Kaley. Joan married David Cox, an incredible father and step-father to her five children, on December 26th, 2000. Those close to Joan know she had a caring, compassionate soul and a love for Jesus. She spent over 25 years at Meredith and Meredith-Burda as a quality technician. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, playing bingo, and taking trips to Prairie Meadows.
Those left to cherish Joan’s memory are her husband of 22 years, David; daughter Sonya Yount and her children Corey, Kristy, Roy, Amanda, Tiffany, Kevin, and Ali; daughter Carol Muse and her children Chuck, James, Jason, and Katie; daughter Vicki Xypteras and her children Triant and Zoe; son Ron (Sara) Rice and their children Aralyn and Aven; son Raymond (Brenda) Williams and their son Kyle; son Daniel (Becky) Cox and his son Bodhi; sister Jeanne (Jim) Arnold and their children Crystal and Lee; sister Neva (Edwin) Craig; brother Robert Kaley; sister in law Becky Moulton; sister in law Chris Wiedemann. Joan is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Ola Lee and brother Delbert.
Service will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 12pm at Brooks Funeral Care 7975 University Blvd. with a visitation an hour prior to. Joan will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery at 1:30pm.
