Pat Smith DeLeon died Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 14th at St Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 13th at Brooks Funeral Care 2135 SW 9th St. with a Vigil Service beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Pat, daughter of Cletus and Thelma (O’Donnell) Boehmer, was born July 27th, 1937 in Elma, Iowa. She was married to Deacon William “Bill” Smith on November 26, 1955. They were blessed with 5 children.
Pat was preceded in death by Deacon Bill, her son Mark, her parents, two brothers, and grandchildren William Smith III and Megan Smith.
Pat was remarried on February 15th, 2014 to Jack Deleon Sr at St Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Pat liked to dance, travel, visit and volunteer at the IA State Fair. She also volunteered at Mercy Hospital and Christ our Life Conference.
Pat is remembered by her husband, Jack Sr. Her children Bill Jr (Debbie), Becky, (Nancy), Mary, and Eric (Jodi); grandchildren Brandon, Bridget (Dan), Crystal (Nick), Jake, Ashleigh (Jason), Zachary, Cole, Michael, and Alexis. Great grandson William. Jack’s children Jack Jr (LeaAnn), Deena, Danny (Jerry) and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
