William “Billy” Jones 59 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on October 21, 2021, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
A Memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
William Howard Jones was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 1, 1962; he was the son of Marvin Lewis and Blanche Marie (Shehan) Jones. He attended School in the Des Moines School District and then served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1980 thru 1983.
On April 26, 1980, he was united in marriage to Debra Renee Hardman, and they were blessed with 4 children, David, Justin, Eric and Felica. They later divorced. He had lived in Des Moines his lifetime and worked at Firestone and Pioneer until his retirement. He always enjoyed helping others, his children, grandchildren, and many friends and had a great love for Rock and Roll music.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, David Louis Jones, Justin Michael (Amber) Jones and Felica Renee Jones, grandchildren, David Jr., Alexis, Cameron, Eric, Annalyn and Anthony, siblings, Michael (Debra) Jones, Lorraine (Alan) Corbin, John (Robyn) Jones, Dennis Jones, and Sandra Jones.
In death he rejoins his parents, Marvin and Blanche Jones, son, Eric, grandparents and niece, Emily.
