Theodore W. Toulouse, 84, passed away on March 14, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, with his family by his side. He was born on September 26, 1937 to Orville Guy and Elma Claire Toulouse.
Theodore proudly served his country in the United States Army. Theodore enjoyed going to auctions and having a booth at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Flea Market; and his main major passion was cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes in every sport possible while doing so cherishing the time spent with his family on family nights.
Theodore is preceded in death by his son Matthew Wayne and his is survived by his wife, Gail; daughter Esther (Robert), daughter-in-law Julie; 5 grandchildren Samantha (Micah), Danielle (Robert), Alan (Katie), Emily (Rod), and Nick; 10 great-grandchildren with number 11 on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on March 18, 2022 at Rising Sun Church of Christ with Pastor David Bouchard officiating – 6390 NE Rising Sun Drive, Pleasant Hill – from 10:00am-12:00pm with a funeral service following at 1:00pm. The family encourages guests to wear Iowa Hawkeye apparel to honor Ted’s memory and his passion for the team. There will be a graveside service being held after the funeral at Rising Sun Cemetery.
