Rondella “Ronda” Rugg, 56, of Stanhope, Iowa passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Brooks Funeral Home, 2135 S. W. 9th Street, Des Moines, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
Rondella Lauresa Johnston was born on June 5, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa; she was the daughter of Thomas and Rondella (Willard) Johnston. She graduated high school from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She later attended Nursing School in Des Moines. On November 14, 1987, Rondella was united in marriage to Larry Jo Rugg in Cambridge, Iowa, they made Stanhope, Iowa their home and raised their family. She had worked in Nursing Homes in Nevada and in Ames during her career. She loved anytime with her family especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 34 years, Larry, children, Ronald (Mallory) Rugg of Virginia, Kenneth Rugg of Colorado and Laura Rugg of Stanhope, Iowa, grandchildren, Thomas, Xander, Alena, Vincent, Greyson and Neva, mother, Rondella Johnston, siblings, Renee Morrison, Thomas Johnston Jr., Timothy (Marcie) Johnston, Tonya (Clark) Johnson and Robert (Brenda) Park.
In death Rondella rejoins her father, Thomas Johnston.
