Robert “Bob” Giles 66 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Robert Lee Giles Jr was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on April 18, 1955; he was the son of Robert Lee and Marilyn (Williams) Giles Sr. He attended school in Des Moines Schools and went to Lincoln High School. Bob had lived in Des Moines on the south side and worked at Dahls Grocery Stores for 27 years.
He loved to hunt, fish, watch TV and watch his Kansas City Chiefs and the Hawkeyes.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Robert Lee Giles III and his grandchildren, Rylee, Skyler and Robert IIII, his mother, Marilyn Samuelson, siblings, Rick Giles, Wayne Knutson, and Laura Knutson.
In death Bob rejoins, his father Robert Giles Sr. and sister, Nancy.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 11, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care, 2135 S W 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa (formerly Tonini’s). Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa 50321.
