Norma Jean Titus

August 16, 1938 – May 10, 2025

Norma Jean Titus, 86, of Bondurant, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 15 at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 AM at the cemetery prior to the service.

Norma Jean (Funderburk) Titus, the daughter of Gene and Mabel Funderburk, was born on August 16, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, where she was raised and received her education. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1956 and remained a lifelong resident of the city.

Norma worked for many years with the United States Government in the Department of Housing. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, cooking for loved ones, and cheering on her grandchildren at Grandview Little League games. She also enjoyed coaching girls’ softball and had a lifelong love of roller skating.

Norma is survived by her two children, Thomas Titus and Teri Baker, both of Bondurant, two stepchildren, Sherry Earlywine of Ankeny and Jerry Clausi of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family.
