Merianne "Mimi" Fucaloro

Merianne "Mimi" Fucaloro age 54 daughter of Leonard and Karen Fucaloro.  She was a sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.  Merianne left us peacefully, and while she is gone, the memories she created with her family and friends will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.  

Merianne always had a strong presence and was unapologetically herself.  She was known for her outspoken nature, often speaking her mind and sharing her thoughts with those around her.  Her words could be bold, but they came from a place of honesty and passion. Though her journey was not always easy, Merianne had a deep love for her family, and she treasured the moments spent with those closest to her.  

Merianne will be remembered for her smile and the stories she loved to share.  Her stories, full of life and often humor, were a cherished part of who she was.  They’ll be remembered as a reflection of her spirit and the way she connected with others. 

Merianne is survived by her loving mother, Karen Fucaloro; her children, Zachary Worley (Haley) and Grace Fucaloro; and her grandson, Leo Worley. She is also survived by her siblings, Teresa Harder (Jason), David Fucaloro (Kristina), and Danny Fucaloro (Mariah), along with two nephews and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Fucaloro, and her granddaughter, Rosalee Worley.

A service will be held in her honor at Brooks Funeral Home, located at 2135 SW 9th, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a graveside service to follow.  A luncheon will be held afterward at 2:00p.m at Vintage Park 3001 Beaver Avenue Des Moines Iowa 50310.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family of Merianne.
