Laurel Kay Jordison

Laurel Kay Jordison was born on May 10, 1954, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Laurel passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at Kavanagh House, surrounded by her loving family.

Laurel is survived by her husband, Dennis Jordison; her daughter, Jennifer Brunsvold; and her grandchildren, Danielle (Adam) Bricker, Chris Brunsvold, and Zach Brunsvold. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Asher Bricker and Mia Bricker. Laurel is additionally survived by her loving sister, Kathy Sundine, as well as niece Amy Bair and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, January 16, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 2135 SW 9th St., Des Moines, IA 50315. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Ave., Des Moines, IA 50311.
