Kole Brooks Heuermann

Kole Brooks Heuermann of Des Moines passed away unexpectedly on December 26th, 2020.


Kole was born July 23rd, 1987. He was 33 years old. Kole graduated high school in 2006, and entered into construction and carpentry with his grandfather. In his free time, Kole loved spending time with his dog Duke, making and collecting art, skateboarding, and surfing. He cared most about the Carolina Panthers, the New York Yankees, obsessing over new shoes, and spending time with those who mattered most to him; his family.


Kole was survived by his father, Todd Heuermann (Tina), his mother, Tammy Riley (Bryan), his siblings, Kase Heuermann (Paige), Kalyx Heuermann, Belle Runza, and Danny Runza, his grandparents, Jake and Penni Heuermann, his nephew, Holden Heuermann, his niece, Maren Heuermann, and his aunts, Lisa Williford (Mark) and Deedra Miskimins (Mike) and proceeded in death by his grandparents, Jimmie and Donna Brooks.


He will fondly be remembered for his loyalty to friends and family, and his ability to light up any room with his humor. He was compassionate, hardworking and stubborn as all get out.


Please join us in celebrating his life on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Oakwood United Methodist Church, 400 N.E. 56th Street, Pleasant Hill, Iowa at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time also on Thursday at the church.


Due to the covid-19 pandemic, mask and social distancing are required. In honor of his dog Duke, contributions should be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
