Daniel Ray Polson, Sr. went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cheryl; son, Daniel Polson, Jr. (Erica); three grandchildren: Darian Campbell (Jordan), Daniel Polson III, and Dylanie; a step great-grandchild, Clair; five brothers: Jerry, David (Mary), James, Paul (Linda), and Dennis; sister-in-laws: Tina (Dan) Reese and Karen Polson; as well as many more relatives and friends.
Daniel was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. His favorite pastime was spending time with family and watching football, especially his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes. After retiring, he enjoyed working for his son The Bug Man. A lot of people said he is the nicest person they had ever met. He loved his wife, son, and grandkids more than anything in the world. Oftentimes he would work 2 or 3 jobs so his family would never do without. He was the best at whatever he did.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-Noon on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Brooks Funeral Care, 2135 SW 9th Street, followed by a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
