Carolyn Josephine Kuble, 84, of Des Moines, Iowa, went to heaven on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
A funeral Mass celebrating Carolyn’s life will be on Thursday, October 7th at 10:30am. The Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines, officiated by Monsignor Hess. The family will gather at Woodland Cemetery, immediately following the funeral. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation or luncheon.
Carolyn was born on Memorial Day, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa to Raymond Francis and Viola Hurst Kuble. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Des Moines and Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa.
Prior to retirement, Carolyn was a member of the religious order, The Humility of Mary. After that, she worked for the State of Iowa in the Lucas Building.
A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carolyn has been a life-long devout Catholic. She not only attended church but also lived her life in a Christ-like way. No conversation ever ended without Carolyn telling you that she would pray for you.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Viola, her siblings Raymond Joseph Kuble, Marylu Kuble Michaud, Frank Bernard Kuble, and sister-in-law Janice Steele Kuble.
Carolyn is survived by Lester Cadwell, a close companion of several years. She is also survived by brother-in-law Donald Michaud of Wilson, NC, nieces Theresa Michaud Lowry of Bath, NC, Margaret Kuble Palmer (Joe) of Norwalk, and nephew Christopher Bernard Kuble (Michelle) of Grimes. Great-nieces and nephews include Rebecca, Amanda, Fred Wilson, Donald, Claire, Ross, Noah, Maxwell, Megan, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
