Roger Lee Clason


The lord called Roger Lee Clason home on October 24, 2022. Roger was born April 5, 1937 to Raymond and Stella Clason in Allegan Michigan. As he grew up in Allegan, he enjoyed fishing, swimming and tormenting his sisters Iris and Mary with the help of his brother Dave.


Roger graduated from Allegan High School and then enlisted in the Army and served as an Air Defense Missile crew member at Fort Bliss Texas, San Francisco and Germany. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Roger and his brother Dave moved to Iowa.


Once in Iowa, Roger worked as a salesman for various companies. He would marry and divorce Mary Barger. The union would produce three children, Ann, Dan and Mike, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, five known as the Berry Bunch. Roger would look forward to spend quality time with his family.


Later on, Roger would marry Barb Palladino and they would remain united until his death. Together Barb and Roger enjoyed family get togethers, travel, and attending church. Roger loved to fish, play board and card games, socialize with numerous friends that he had made throughout his life.


Roger was preceded in death by his son Mike and grandson Mark.


There will be a memorial service held on Tuesday, November 8th at 11:00AM at Brooks Funeral Care (formerly Tonini Chapel - 2135 SW 9th Street). Roger will be resting at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
