Wayne Aubrey Devine, 84, died on July 31, 2008 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk, Iowa.  He was born on January 10, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa to Pearl and Edward Devine.  Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd, Clive, Iowa with interment following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Cumming.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care-University.

Wayne was a U.S. Army Veteran in World War II and served as a Firefighter for the City of Des Moines for over 30 years, retiring in 1979. 

He will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary, two sons, Edward and William (Shawna) Devine; four grandchildren, Jennifer Devine-Tumea, Christopher, Justin, and Jacob Devine, all of Des Moines; and a sister, Delores Lambert of West Des Moines.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Earl, Howard, Glenn, and William, and sisters, Mae Garvin, Louise Monroe, and Marie Slater.
