Patricia Mendezona, 77, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 28, at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd, Clive, IA. Family will greet guests at a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Alleman, IA. A reception lunch will be held at the Polk City Community Center following the internment.

Patricia was born on May 25, 1930 in Monterrey Park, CA. She will be missed by her children, Wayne (Terri) Mendezona of Issaquah, WA, Elaine (Ric) Long of Alleman, IA, and Antonio (Carrie) Mendezona of Tualatin, OR; sister, Nan Sayre of Yerington, NV; 14 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Don Chidwick of Yerington, NV, and two grandchildren, Ezra and Mara Joy Long. Memorial contributions will be used according to the wishes of the family.
