Esther LaVaun Perkins, 87, died March 20, 2008 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Brooks Funeral Care-University Chapel with burial in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

She was born in Winterset, Iowa and had lived in Des Moines and for the last three years in Perry. She had worked at Communication Data Services until her retirement. Esther was a member of Eastgate Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile and the Order of the Amaranth and she enjoyed traveling.

She will be missed by sister, Fayola McKee of Mission, TX; stepdaughter, Maurine Lambercht of Omaha, NE and other family members and friends. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
