William Lawrence Kroll, 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. memorial service on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Brooks Funeral Care ~ Tonini Chapel, 2135 S.W. 9th St., Des Moines.

William was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. He served his country in U.S. Army, and retired from Bridgestone Firestone. William was a member of the United Steel Workers Local # 310, a Fort Des Moines Little League coach and a YMCA basketball coach.

He will be missed by his wife, Corrine; his children, Doug (Julie), Derrick (Denise) and Debra (Trevor) Meyer; his brothers, Bob and David; his sister, Judy Ward and four grandchildren and two step- grandchildren.
