Sigrid Virginia Myers, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Ramsey Village.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday March 14, 2008 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1115 Grand Ave., West Des Moines with Pastor Ron Mohr officiating.

Sigrid was born October 3, 1916 in Des Moines to Lydia and Albert Nelson and later raised by Lydia and John Otto. Sigrid was a 1934 graduate of East High School. She married John Donald Myers on October 8, 1938. Sigrid was a homemaker, seamstress, volunteer, and enjoyed many crafts.

Survivors include daughters, Karen Justice (Dale) of Concord, California and Barbara Drustrup (Robert) of Des Moines; grandchildren, Lisa and Lynn Justice of California, and David and Rebecca Drustrup of Des Moines. Preceding her in death was husband, John (April 24, 2001).

Burial for Sigrid and John will be held at a later date at Glendale Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of the Alzheimer's Unit at Ramsey Village and to Hospice of Central Iowa for their devoted care to Sigrid.
