Richard "Dick" Kuefner, 90, died Thursday, March 20, 2008. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at First Federated Church, 4801 Franklin Ave., Des Moines. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, IA. Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd., Clive, IA. Dick was born in Grimes, IA and had lived in Pleasantville, Adel and Dallas Center before moving to Waukee.

He was a WWII Army veteran, member of the American Legion and First Federated. He was farmer for many years until his retirement in 1986. Dick will be missed by his wife of 69 years, Evelyn; children, Larry of Clive and Linda (Dennis) Emehiser of Adel; grandchildren, Thad and Chad Schlotterback, Todd (Julie) Emehiser and Tammy Princ; five great-grandchildren and brother, Bert of Redfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters, Karen Schlotterback and Becky Jo Kuehl. Memorial donations may be made to his church.
