Orion Stenger, 77, passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, February 24, 2008.

Orion was born in Ft. Madison, July 24, 1930.

He was employed twelve years with the West Des Moines Public Schools as a bus driver and 23 years with Delevan Manufacturing.

He was preceded in death by his wife Donna in 1987.

Orion is survived by his sons, Victor, Richard, David, and James Stenger all of Des Moines; daughter, Patty Gilreath of West Des Moines; brother, Lawrence of Peoria, IL; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great- great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 29 at Brooks Funeral Care in Clive. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening. Inurnment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Ft. Madison.
