Kent E. Limpus On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, Kent E. Limpus passed away suddenly at his home in Knoxville, IA. Kent was born on November 18, 1948 in Glendale, CA. Some of Kent's fondest memories were exploring the Kern River in California with family and friends as a young man. After serving his country in the Air Force he settled in southern California and later came to Knoxville, Iowa. Kent had worked many years as an architectural designer and the past six years at the VA Hospital in Knoxville, where he was always ready with a smile, to tell a joke or help anyone. Kent loved music, nature, photography, scuba diving, fishing, his boat, and working on his home and in his yard, where he took pride in his beautiful flowers. He will be greatly missed by his best friend, Charmaine Gilbert of Knoxville; wife and good friend, Sue Li and daughter, I-Ling Limpus of California; brother, Wayne (Sharon) Limpus of Virginia; sister, Kristi Kozuszko of California; sister- in-law, cousins, and other extended family and friends. Kent's earthly remains will be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Kent's life at the VA Chapel on Pleasant Ave in Knoxville on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions or donations may be made to Kern River Alliance, 3805 Silverado Street, Bakersfield, CA 93306, in Kent's name.
