Josephine Kanniainen, 86, died of natural causes at the Granger Nursing and Rehab, February 27, 2008.

Josie was born in Zookspur, January 31, 1922 and lived in Granger for 61 years. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Josie was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend to many. She was known for her dependability and hospitality.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Somsky. She is survived by a son, George (Tony) A. Somsky of Lohrville; daughter, Kathy Gill of Golden, CO; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1 at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday morning. Inurnment will be at Beaver Catholic Cemetery.
