Mass of Christian burial for Floyd Gillotti, 89, who died at home February 8, 2008 will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a 6:30 PM Rosary Service Monday at Brooks Funeral Care Tonini Chapel.
Floyd served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a long time deputy auditor for Polk County.
He was actively involved in Democratic Party Politics, served as a former Commander of Bellizzi Mac Rae American Legion Post 659, was an avid reader and enjoyed Notre Dame football.
Floyd became the patriarch of his family at age 14 when his father died, he took that responsibility to heart helping to raise his siblings. Family was his greatest joy.
He will be missed by his nieces and nephews; Sam (Evelyn) Gillotti, Michael (Shirley) Gillotti, Rosalie (Robert) Owens, JoAnn (Chris) Manning, Mary Kay (Rainer) Zumbach, Angel Kempkes, Roseann (Joe) Strako, Jamie Gillotti and 19 great nieces and nephews.
