Diana Sickels, 68, died February 22, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Diana was born December 18, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa. On November 12, 1989, she was married to David W. Sickels at Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa. The following September, they moved to an acreage in Stuart where she cared for and raised her animals. Diana loved all her animals-the horses, cats, dogs, and chickens. She was a member of the Humane Society.

Diana will be missed by her best friend and husband of 18 years, David; mother, Verna Ruth Madson (West Des Moines); sister, Trudy Chaves (West Des Moines); brother, Steven and his wife, Lin (Hutchinson, MN); and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She is predeceased by her father, Wallace Kettle; step-father, Raymond Paul Madson, Sr.; grandparents, Earl (Pinky) and Edith Hartshorn; a brother, Raymond Paul Madson, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Leroy Chaves.
