Anna Mitton, 73, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday, at Brooks Funeral Care - Tonini Chapel, with a 7 p.m. rosary service.

Anna was a life long resident of Des Moines. She was a machine operator for Direct Mail Service. She enjoyed square dancing, camping and fishing.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Sam; her children, Carolyn Sheriff and Gilbert Minella; her brothers, John (Ellie) Martinez, Art (Sandie) Martinez, Vincent (Nancy) Martinez and Albert (Joyce) Martinez; her sisters, Margaret (Sherll) King, Delores (Jesse) Spencer, Mary Ellen (Ron) Chapman and Rachel (Larry) Chappell; her brother- in-law, John Mitton; two sister-in-laws, Marilyn Polke and Kathryn Williams; nine grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.
