Raymond L. Andrews, 80, of Des Moines died on November 16, 2007, at Kavanagh House in West Des Moines.

Raymond was born April 30, 1927, in Angus, Iowa to Gertrude and John Andrews. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post 0659 and a retired United States Postal Service employee. Inspired by Ansel Adams, Raymond shared his passion for photography with his family, students, and many friends.

Surviving are his wife, Simone, son Alain (Chris) of Pleasant Hill, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on Grand or his church.
