Marjorie "Marge" Haggerty, 60, entered her eternal life on October 25, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marge was born in Scranton, PA and had lived in Pittsburgh, PA and Louisville, KY before moving to West Des Moines twelve years ago. She had been an elementary school teacher in Pennsylvania and Kentucky and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

She will be missed by her husband of 35 years, Joseph K. Haggerty; daughters Jeanne Haggerty of Washington, D.C., Ellen Grignon and her husband Rene of Dallas, TX, and Judy Haggerty of Chicago, IL; brothers Frank Manley of Medford, NJ and John Manley of Scranton, PA; and her sister Regina O'Brien of Laurel, MD. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and warm smile.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Ave., West Des Moines. Family will greet friends on Sunday at the church between 4 to 6 p.m. with a vigil service at 6 p.m.
