Maxine M. Christensen, 87, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Taylor House Hospice. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Maxine was born in Sharpsburg, IA and was a member of Sharpsburg Presbyterian Church. Maxine loved music, flowers and nursery rhymes.

She will be missed by her daughter, Nioma Carmichael of Des Moines; her grandson, Bobby (Karen) Dewees of Runnells, IA; her granddaughter, Brenda Dewees of Des Moines; five great grandchildren, Lindsey and Cory Dewees, and Damion, Brandon and DJ Clement; many other family members and very special friends in Creston, IA and Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Lyle.
