Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Josephine who died December 22, 2007. Visitation will be held 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday with a 6:30 Rosary at Tonini Chapel.

Josephine was born in Des Moines; she owned and operated Skigs Restaurant, worked for the Polk County License Bureau and at Katecho as a secretary.

A member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the church Altar and Rosary Society, Josephine enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and cooking. Her real passion was spending time with and spoiling her great grandchildren.

She will be missed by her sons; Joseph (Audry) of Des Moines IA. and Frank of San Diego CA., her grandchildren; Daniel (Jill), Mark (Shari), Betsy (Matt) Pyfferoen, Tony (Theresa), Rob (Melissa), Joey and David, her great grandchildren; Nico, Noah, Luca, Marguerite, James, Josephine, Geoffrey and Joey, her siblings; Julia Turner and Anthony (Jan) Mortale. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Arthur, her siblings; Catherine, Arman and Charles Mortale and an infant son.

Memorial contributions in Josephine’s honor may be made to St. Anthony School.
