Joseph Lancelotti
Joseph was born on April 18, 1919 in Keota, Missouri. He was married to Marie (Nichols) Lancelotti for 54 years. He served with the Merchant Marines during World War II. Joseph worked at Marquette Cement in Des Moines, as a coal miner in Waukee, and provided sanitation pickup service in West Des Moines. He retired in 1978 as a maintenance worker from the City of West Des Moines. After retirement, he has lived the past 20 years on Bulls Shoals Lake in Diamond City, Arkansas, enjoying fishing, boating, gardening, hunting, dancing, and sporting events of all kind. Joseph is survived by his special friend and companion, Grace Walker of Bergman, Arkansas; children Larry Lancelotti of Batesville, Arkansas; Gregory Lancelotti of Cave City, Arkansas; Marcella Sawick of Madison, Wisconsin; Claudia Rosenbaum of Diamond City, Arkansas; and Rodney Lancelotti of Panama City, Florida; twelve grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie; six sisters, his brother and his infant granddaughter. Memorial contributions may he made to the Hospice of the Hills, Harrison, Arkansas. |
