Jean Ann (Jeanie) Barlow, 64, died October 21, 2007 at Hospice of Central Iowa, Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. October 27 at the Des Moines Masonic Cemetery Chapel, 1550 48th St. in Des Moines.

Jeanie was born December 3, 1942, in Des Moines. She was a graduate of Des Moines Technical high school and was a lifetime Des Moines resident.

Much of Jeanie’s career was with the Darwin T. Lynner Company, during which time she managed the properties at River Hills in Des Moines. She was a firm, dedicated loyal employee and was known for her expertise in the property management field. She was often called upon to train other managers and was honored as the Iowa Manager of the Year in 1992 by the American Housing Management Association.

Jeanie is survived by her brother, LaVerne C. Barlow Jr. and two sisters, Jane Barlow and Janet (James) Clayton, a nephew, Bryan Clayton, a niece Kathryn (Clayton) Olson and four great-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne A. Barlow and Helen W. Barlow.
