George D. Roudebush, 82, born in Grafton, ND, on August 25, 1925, passed away peacefully from this life on October 29, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church, 4601 Douglas Avenue in Des Moines. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at Brooks Funeral Care University Chapel, 7975 University Blvd., Clive, Iowa.

George was born to June and Henry Roudebush. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later, was a T.V. Repairman for Bracs of Beaverdale for over 40 years. George loved playing the organ, and was a member of the Des Moines Organ Club. He also enjoyed playing cards, listening to Polka music, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

He is survived by his wife, Marvel, of 59 years; three daughters, Barb (John) White of Des Moines, Marlene (Dan) Higdon of Urbandale, and Jan Bastian of Des Moines; four grandchildren, David Baccus of San Jose, CA, Melissa Seybert (Steve) of West Des Moines, Theresa Selzer and Jessica Bastian, both of Des Moines; three great granddaughters, Emma and Luci Seybert, and Juvie Lu Selzer Lim; four nephews and a niece.

George’s cremains will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.
