Eulah Shearer, 89, passed away on December 19, at Fountain West Care Center of natural causes.

Eulah was born on June 3, 1918 in Winterset, IA. She married John Shearer on September 9, 1944. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1980. She was a bank teller for First Federal State Bank in Des Moines for many years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren.

Eulah was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Ann Jones and granddaughter Gabrielle Jones.

She is survived by her son Michael of Excelsior, MN; four grandchildren: Christy Jones of Urbandale, Kate (James) Thilges of Cedar Falls, Jenny Shearer of Maple Grove, MN and Jay Shearer of Minneapolis, MN; four great-grandchildren: Ashley Shearer and Blake Dekarski of Maple Grove, MN and Gabrielle and Paxton Thilges of Cedar Falls; and close friends Arlen and Bonnie Pence of Adel.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 23 at 1 p.m. at the AHEPA Apartments at 6190 NW 59th Ct in Johnston.
