Dorothy Diane Mazzie was born November 24, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa passed away peacefully on November 15, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband by her side.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation beginning at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 20 with a 7 P.M. Rosary service at Brooks Funeral Care Tonini Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 21 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with a burial following at Glendale Cemetery.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Dorothy was wickedly funny and she always made people laugh. She was a woman with a will of steel and she battled breast cancer with amazing ferocity and grace beating the odds time and time again.

Dorothy is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband of 49 years, Pete; their children, Carl, Diane, and Suzanne Fontanini (Greg); six grandchildren, Charlee, Joseph, Gina, Anna, Anthony, and Christopher. She is also survived by her brother, Edwin Barber (Jan) and her stepmother, Betty Barber. Dorothy now joins her father, Dominic Barber and her mother Elsie in eternal rest.
