Dennis A. Bubier
Urbandale

Dennis Alton Bubier, 74, died October 16, 2007 at Senior Suites of Urbandale after a long illness.    Dennis served with the US Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict teaching others how to drive tanks.  After the service, Dennis met and married Ruth L. Bubier.  He worked most of his life as a route salesman for various bakery industries in Florida (15 years) and North Carolina, retiring and returning to Iowa the past 13 years.  Dennis enjoyed fishing, driving in the countryside admiring the scenery, target practicing, deep sea fishing and watching wrestling on television; but his most precious time was spent with his family.

Dennis is survived by his children, Lisa Ford of Fernandina Beach, Florida; Michael (Mary) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Deanna Nelson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jill (Norm) Chamberlain of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren, Seth Kottler, Abagail Ford, Hannah Ford, and Christopher Bubier; his brother, Bion Bubier of S. Dennis, Massachusetts; his sisters, Diana Butler of Lake City, Florida and Eva Hustus of Zephyr Hills, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Ruth Louise Nelson and his sister, Emogene Crosby.  Dennis will be missed dearly by his family and friends.  Special thanks to the staff at the Senior Suites of Urbandale for the kindness and patience given to Dennis and his family.  Per his request, Dennis will be cremated and no services are planned.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
