Allan Donald Test
Des Moines

Allan Donald Test, 49, of Des Moines, died at Fleur Heights Care Center on November 4, 2007, after a brief battle with cancer.

Allan was born in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. Except for a few years in his early childhood and again in early adulthood, he lived on Des Moines' south side his entire life. On October 16, 1982, he was united in marriage to Donna (Stark) Test. This union was blessed with two children: Amanda Marie and Adam Donald.

He held various jobs throughout the years in retail management, insurance claims and sales, vending and, most recently, ebay sales. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, but also enjoyed trap shooting, playing poker, coaching his son's sports teams, and was especially proud of being a member of the leadership of Boy Scout Troop 40.

Allan is survived by his wife Donna of Des Moines; daughter Amanda of Cedar Falls, son Adam of Ames; mother Donna Test of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; father Milton (Virginia) Test of Rochester, IN; sister Terry Test of Dallas, TX; sisters- and brothers-in-law Ida and Jerald Fetters of Clio, Margaret and Butch Caylor of Chariton, and Evelyn Stark of Lucas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Ruby Stone and Leo and Laura Test. He was a good friend and family man and will be greatly missed by all.

The care of Allan's body has been donated to Science Care Anatomical. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Care Tonini Chapel.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 18, 2007, at 3 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Boy Scout Troop 40 or to Iowa Hospice and directed to the family.
