Funeral services for Wilbur (Bill) Kirkman, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Tonini Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Bill retired as a pilot for Continental Airlines and was a flight instructor in Des Moines and also worked in home improvement sales.

Bill was a member of the Home Masonic Lodge #370, the Za Ga Zig Shrine and Issac Walton League. He enjoyed golf, playing the guitar, flying and playing cards.

He will be missed by his wife, Vonel; grandchildren, Rick, Jason, Jill, Kyrie, Nicole, and Gracy; two great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Samantha; two step-daughters, Cindy Street and Vonda Fredette; two brothers, Lloyd and Richard.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis.
