Verne L. “Pee-Wee” Logan passed away on Oct. 16, 2006, in Des Moines. He was 74 years old. Verne was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Deloris Bragg Logan; his parents, Vincent and Alma Logan; his sister, Pauline McChristy; a brother, Vincent Jr.; and one son, Timothy Logan.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Johnson of Olds; and two sons, Verne Jr. of Johnston and Rick of Indianola. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Verne was born in La Belle, Mo. He was in the agricultural industry most of his life with over 20 years as the manager/owner of Gro-Mo-Co, Inc., in Centerville. He and his wife, Deloris, retired to Mesa, Ariz., until her death in 2001. He relocated to Johnston in 2002 to be near family.
