Thomas F. Miklus, Sr., 91, died on December 30, 2006 at Granger Manor.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Brooks Funeral Care~University Chapel, 7975 University Blvd. Clive. Burial will be at a late date in Ankeny Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Thomas was born in Des Moines and had worked at Ford Implement until his retirement in 1972. During his high school years he excelled in many sports. He enjoyed woodworking, watching sports and treasured time with his family.

He will be missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Velzora (Davis); 2 sons, Tom, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and Martin of Des Moines; 4 daughters, Olivia Enger and husband, Oliver of Richardson, TX, Georgette Schutte of Des Moines, Elizabeth King and husband, Dwight of Naples, FL and Teri Bejarno of Scottsdale, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry and grandson, Brent Todd.
