Myrtle Leona Huffey, 88, passed peacefully into heaven on Friday, October 6, at Mercy Hospice House surrounded by family. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 9, at South Side Assembly, 2409 SE 6th St. Visitation is Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brooks Tonini Chapel.

Myrtle loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a proud mother of 14 children and a devoted wife to the late Rev. Lloyd Huffey.

She is survived by eight sons, Jim, Bill, Richard, David, Marten, Jerry, Ernest and Ron Huffey; five daughters, Lillian Kletzke, Barbara Gardner, Tommie Ranstrom, Darlene Lawson, Irene Nelson; brother, Willie Brader and sister, Arlene Szuchon; 38 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lloyd Huffey and son, Wesley Huffey.
