Louis B. Pazzi, Jr., died December 18th, 2006, surrounded by his loving family.

Louis was born to Louis and Helen Pazzi June 19, 1919 in Des Moines. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Louis was a supervisor with Marquette Cement Company.

Louis was Valley High School's (then known as Valley Junction High) first state champion wrestler, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, softball, bowling, watching the Chicago Cubs and the New York Yankees and eating anything chocolate.

He joined the Brooks (Pioneer) Senior Center in 1985 and was an active volunteer for twenty years. He was awarded the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program Dick Heise Award in 1999 in recognition of outstanding volunteer work.

Louis made many friends during his volunteer work including the employees at the S.E. 14th Street Hy Vee where he picked up donated food items (five days a week for over ten years) for the Senior Center.

Louis will be missed by his wife of 65 years Mary; his children, Frank (Donna) Pazzi, Louis (Diana) Pazzi, and Sharon Marvelli; his 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Helen Zeliadt, Irene Duffy, and Mary Binder; and his sisters-in-law Gloria Neal and Minnie ViVone.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M., Friday, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4 P.M. to 8 P.M., Thursday, with a 7:30 P.M. Rosary at Tonini Chapel.
