Lillian Bentley Olson, 83, died on December 15, 2006. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Lillian was born in Valley Junction and lived all her life in West Des Moines. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, Wednesday lunch and shopping dates with her friends and following her Chicago Cubs.

She will be missed by her son, Stephen (Catherine) Olson of Prole; her daughter, Judith (Thomas) Bates of Des Moines; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Bentley and her husband, Alvin in 1981.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
