Lenard E. Liming passed away October 17, 2006. He was born on February 5, 1924, the son of Rev. Clifford and Anice (Reed) Liming. He graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1942 and entered the U.S. Army on May 6, 1943. Lenard was honorably discharged February 26, 1946, proud to be a veteran.

Lenard and Donna Lindebak were married July 11, 1944. Ames has been their home since 1949. Lenard's last twelve years of employment were with the Environmental Health and Safety department at I.S.U. He retired in 1987.

Lenard is survived by his wife, two daughters; Linda (Robert Stomp) Fullmer and Susan (Bob) Ratliff, six grandchildren; Brooke, Celia and Hilary Fullmer, Chris Ratliff, Joe Wilson and Scott Ratliff, three sisters-in-law; Colleen Liming, Burnette Liming and Florence Topp, two brothers-in-law; Arnold Skartvedt and Bud (Marge) Maakestad. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Lawrence and Delbert) and sister (Eleanor Rex).

Memorial services will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Ames, IA on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Manor Chaplain's Fund or Bethesda Food Pantry.
