John F. Kious, 75, died 1:30 p.m., November 23, 2006 at Hospice Kavanagh House from complications of cancer. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, November. 27, 2006 at Glendale Cemetery.

John was born in Des Moines and lived his whole life here. He was a member of the Basilica of St. John and VFW Beaverdale Post. He was a truck driver and US Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He will be missed by his wife, Janice; sister, Frances (Art) Ridgley of Jacksonville, TX; four nieces; two nephews and loyal friends. Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
