Helen Wattier died on October 17, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center.

Memorial services for Helen will be 2 p.m., today, October 19, 2006 at Fountain West Health Care Center, 1501 Office Park Road, West Des Moines. Helen was born in Des Moines and had lived in West Des Moines for the last 15 years. She was the Fountain West Health Care Center Activity Director and Eden Associate for 26 years. She also taught activity director classes part time at DMACC. Her life and passion was working with seniors.

She will be missed by her husband, David Wattier; son, Vinnie (Heather) Martinez of Seattle, WA; daughters, Denise (Scott) Jones of Manchester, IA, Darcee (Joseph) DiStefano of Austin, TX and Dawn (Juan Carlos) Martinez Oropeza of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; brother, David Feinberg of Tucson, AZ; sister, Janece Rohwer of Des Moines; two step sons, Jason Wattier of Des Moines and Brian Wattier of Los Angeles; step daughter, Jocelyn (John) White also of Los Angeles and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Celia Feinberg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Eden Fund at Fountain West.
