Harry K. Bougher, Jr. Harry K. "Bud" Bougher, Jr., 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. The angels carried him away to be with his Lord and Savior. Born October 6, 1936 in Des Moines to Harry Sr., and the late Vera Mae Bougher, he was a long time resident of West Des Moines and served his country in the Air National Guard. He worked for Anderson Erickson, Pitney Bowes, Linotype and Security at 801 Grand, but most recently, he was employed with the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of almost 50 years, his children, Kirk (Cheryl) of Milwaukee, Kimberly of West Des Moines, Kraig (Desiree) of Omaha, Kandee (Jim) Brock of West Des Moines, and H.K.III (Rachel) of West Des Moines. His precious treasures were his twelve grandchildren, Tessa, Kasandra, Sommer, Winters, Stephen, Diana, Graham, Makenzie, Abbyann, Olivia, Allyson, Isaiah. Also surviving him are one sister, Naomi Jean (David) Ohlerking of Swaziland, Africa; two brothers, Stephen of Urbandale, and Thomas (Jan) of Huntsville, AL; his father, Harry K. Bougher, Sr., and many nieces and nephews. Bud enjoyed sports, (especially the Iowa Hawkeyes), breakfast at Dahls with his brother Steve, Southern Gospel music, and taking his family to Branson, attending church, spending time with family and especially with his grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the New Hope Assembly of God at 6800 Townsend Ave, Urbandale, IA. Visitation will be today, 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to his church. |
