Charlene Kay White, 67, passed on December 3, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. Char, as she was known by family and friends, was born on January 9, 1939 in Des Moines. She graduated from Johnston High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Crimmins Cattle Company Restaurant for over 26 years. Char enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. But for those of us who knew Char well, know her favorite pastime was donating to Prairie Meadows Casino.

Char is survived by her four children, four grandchildren, two sisters and a brother. Memorial services will be Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 4 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care-University Chapel. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
