Shirley A. Bailey Shirley Ann Bailey, 71, died June 23, 2005 in her home of congestive heart failure. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005 at Corinthian Baptist Church in Des Moines with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Shirley Ann was born in Des Moines on June 23, 1934. She attended the Des Moines Public Schools. She was employed as a teacher associate for the Des Moines Public Schools before retiring in 1973. She enjoyed fishing and family activities. Survivors include her son, Mark; daughters, Kristi, Shelley, and Jodi; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, all of Des Moines; three sisters, Sheila Brown, Linda Dixon, and Mary Lynne Jones of Des Moines; aunt, Willa Mae Jones; and special son, Joe Mayes. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. |
