Ron Youmans passed away November 28, 2005 with family by his side. Ron was born January 23, 1928 to Loren and Dasie Youmans. Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday College Avenue Christian Church in Des Moines

Ron joined the Navy to serve his country. After graduating from Osceola High School in 1945, he fell in love with Barbara Fowler, they married December 20, 1952.

Ron worked for Correll Construction for over 30 years, he was a member of the Operating Engineer’s Union 234. After his retirement, he enjoyed music, his writing and his poetry, among many things.

Ron is thought of by his wife, Barbara; his daughters Deborah and Becky; his grandchildren, Demian, Sean, Auralee, and Tatiana; great-grandchildren Mariah and Ethan. Also a host of beloved friends and family.
