Robert "Bob" Calhoun, 79, died Sunday, December 11, 2005, at Kavanagh House, Grand Avenue. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Central Presbyterian Church, 3829 Grand Avenue.

Bob was born July 24, 1926 in Centerville, IA. He retired from Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for 35 years. He is a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He was an avid conservationist and hunter; and was a member of the Isaac Walton League of Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; their children, Jolene and Doug; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Please direct all memorial contributions to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
